Well, it was a real adventure just to get here. It poured rain and blew hard all the way from Hervey Bay to Agnes Water (AW) and the Town of 1770 (1770). There was no signal for the phone or the dongle, no TV, so we just had a yarn and retired early.
Up early, nice brekky and off to Round Hill Cape. I wanted to see the monument to Joseph Banks again, but it wasn't there. I asked a couple of locals and they told me that "they" (assume the local Council) moved it to put in a car park. Nice car park, but I would rather have the Banks memorial, thanks.
The scenery here is to die for, especially on a nice day, as today is. I hope that the pics do it justice.
The caravan park that we are in is a bit ordinary. Apparently, it's OK not to do maintenance or cut the grass if you call it an "eco park". It must be an excuse not to use cleaning chemicals in the facilities or do any work around the place. That's my theory. It's a dump. And the phone and data signal is rubbish too! So there!
Long day tomorrow. We originally planned to do a free camp on the way to Lake Maraboon, but may do a long day and save it up for another time.
For those of the technical inclination, I am linking this page to Face Book, where I have established a Group, so you can get to it either way. How's that for convenience?
Hope everybody is well and happy. We are. Take care.
